The National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care has published “Diagnostic imaging referral guidelines for physicians. Seventh edition” in 2015”. This is a translation of the UK guidelines “iRefer: Making the best use of clinical radiology. Seventh edition” developed by the Royal College of Radiologists. This publication is a guide for physicians referring to imaging tests to select the appropriate test for a specific clinical case. It was developed jointly by the Ministry of Health, the National Centre for Radiation Protection in Health Care, the Polish Medical Society of Radiology, the Polish Society of Nuclear Medicine, National Consultant for radiology and diagnostic imaging and National Consultant for nuclear medicine.
